Meet the Team

Find out more about the career pathways from some of our current team below.

My name is Sue Ralphs and I work at the Agrii Pocklington site.  I have recently been promoted to from Logistics Support to Deputy Depot Manager.

The best part of my job is the driving team.  They are a great bunch who work really hard.  They have a fantastic team spirit and will help each other out despite their own workloads.  We pull together to deliver exceptional customer service for our Agronomists and customers, and that is very satisfying.

Steve Primmer

Multi-Drop Driver, Larkwhistle

I joined Agrii through an agency and having been in the Agchem industry for 2 years, I have found working at Larkwhistle a fun and enjoyable place to work in a friendly atmosphere.

I have found it particularly interesting to take on a few different roles within the site, filling in where needed being a Storeperson to driving a van, and now through training with Agrii I an a Class 1 and 2 ADR qualified driver.

There is no typical working day, each day is different which is what makes it so enjoyable here at Agrii!

Sophie Brown

Driver, Ponteland

Hi, my name is Sophie Brown and I have worked for Agrii for 7 years. I am based at our Ponteland depot. The team here are close knit and we all work very well together to get through the busiest and quiet times of the year. My role as driver is more than just driving, I load and unload the wagons, carry out store duties, pick loads and deliver them.

Agrii is a good place to work, as it’s in the Agricultural sector nearly all my deliveries are around the countryside which is more pleasant than driving in towns and cities.

The Agrii depots and teams all pull together as a whole to help provide the service levels were proud to achieve.  There’s a good HR team to support us when required and management are also keen to support us. Training is extensive, I have completed my ADR, (hazardous goods) course, first aid and fork-lift training along with ongoing in-house training.
Our health and safety team are always uppermost on the company’s priorities which again helps me feel comfortable in my job.

Joe Buchanan

Hello, my name is Joe Buchan and I started work for Agrii in March 2016 on a 6-month contract as a van driver at Alconbury and was offered a full-time job later that year.

I was given the opportunity to take my class 2 licence with the company which I passed and worked at Agrii until January 2019. I left the company to pursue a different driving job but by 2021 I wanted to come back and was given the chance to re-join the Agrii team.

When I started back at Agrii, I found that I was doing a variety of varied work which included delivering seed all-round the country for different depot.
I was also put through my Class 1 licence which I passed first time and I am now enjoying a fulfilling career with the company. I was really glad that they gave me a second opportunity and provided me with the training.
